Scope and Method

Only incidents that took place in October 2026 are listed. Where an outlet gave the publication date but not the incident date, the entry says reported. Sources searched: The Wire, Maktoob Media, Clarion India, The Observer Post, Alt News and Mohammed Zubair (@zoo_bear), The Indian Express, The Telegraph, The Hindu, and — as requested — the wider web (Scroll, The Quint, Siasat, Madhyamam, Muslim Mirror, SabrangIndia, Millat Times, LiveLaw, ThePrint, Al Jazeera, HRW, and the IAMC weekly monitors of 3, 15, 22 and 29 October). Coverage notes

Mohammed Zubair’s X timeline requires a login and could not be read in full; only posts surfaced through search were checked, and none added an October incident not already listed. Searches of The Indian Express, The Telegraph and The Hindu did not surface October incidents beyond those already covered by other outlets. Several regional and Hindi-language reports may not be indexed; this record should be read as comprehensive for English-language reporting, not as a complete count.
